Booking & Payment
Q: How do I secure my spot?
A: A £100 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place. The remaining balance is due 90 days before your trip begins.

Q: Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
A: Yes! You can transfer your booking to another person up to 15 days before departure with written notice. A small admin fee may apply.

Q: Are payment plans available?
A: Yes — we offer flexible payment plans upon request. Just reach out and we’ll work with you to make it manageable.
 

Cancellations & Refunds
Q: What happens if I cancel?
A: You’ll receive a full refund (minus a 5% admin fee) if you cancel at least 90 days before departure. Unfortunately, no refunds are offered for cancellations made within 90 days of the trip start.

Q: What if Roam & Revel cancels the trip?
A: If we need to cancel due to low numbers, travel restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
 

Travel Requirements
Q: Do I need travel insurance?
A: Yes — comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover medical treatment, repatriation, cancellations, and any activities included in the itinerary.

Q: Will I need a visa?
A: Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa or Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Please check your country’s requirements in advance.

Q: What should I pack?
A: A full packing list will be provided before your trip, but plan for both warm coastal weather and cooler mountain temps (especially in places like Ella and Nuwara Eliya). Layers, swimwear, comfy shoes, and sun protection are key.

Q: Is there a group WhatsApp or pre-trip meetup?
A: Yes! We’ll create a group chat before the trip to connect, ask questions, and build the vibe ahead of time.

Accommodation

Q: What kind of accommodation is included?

A: We stay in a mix of boutique hotels, stylish surf hostels, and scenic guesthouses — all chosen for comfort, character, and location. Rooms are typically twin-share or dorms.

Q: Can I upgrade to a private room?
A: Yes, private room upgrades are available for most of the trip. The upgrade costs £200 per person if you’re sharing with a friend or partner, or £350 for solo travellers.

However, please note that 5 out of the 13 nights on the Sri Lanka tour are in accommodations where private room upgrades are not possible, due to room configuration.

Q: Can I request to room with a friend?
A: Yes! Just let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to pair you together.

Q: Will I have to share a bed with someone?
A: On this Sri Lanka tour, there are 5 nights where you may be required to share a queen bed with another guest. If you're travelling solo, we’ll do our best to match same-gender roommates, and our one male and one female host can also step in to help with room arrangements to support your comfort.
Unfortunately, upgrades to private rooms are not available for these 5 nights due to accommodation layout. If you’d like to discuss this before booking, please reach out — we’re happy to help you feel confident and comfortable.

Q: Who are these trips for?
A: Roam & Revel Adventures is designed for adventurous, open-minded travellers aged 25–40 who want to experience unique destinations without the stress of planning — think cultural experiences, beach time, epic hikes, and group laughs.

Q: How many people will be in the group?
A: Group sizes are small and intimate — usually between 10 and 14 guests — to keep things personal and flexible.

Q: What’s included in the trip price?
A: All accommodation, ground transport, some group meals, experiences listed on the itinerary, and your two epic trip leaders. Flights, insurance, and most meals/snacks are not included.
